A Case of Microgliomatosis

Abstract
A 55-year-old woman was admitted to the department of Neurosurgery, Seoul National University Hospital with. the chief complaints of .headache, nausea and vomiting of 15 days duration.
On neurological examination, there were bilateral hemorrhagic papilledema, decreased. visual acuity on the right side, left side hemiparesis, positive meningeal signs, generalized increase in. DTR, and positive ankle clonus on the left side.
Right carotid angiogram demonstrated the findings suggesting a. huge cystic, mass. in the right posterior temporal area.
Craniotomy was performed under the impression of right posterior temporal cystic tumor, and then partial removal of the greyish white mass, which had no discrete margin with adjacent normal brain tissue, was done.
Biopsy was turned out to be a typical microgliomatosis.
After operation, her subjective -symptoms were improved progressively l but right visual disturbance and left hemiparesis were still remained.
